Dr Kumar is asking for volunteers to join a Community Speed Watch group for the Bathwick Hill area. The purpose is to monitor and advise drivers that are breaking the speed limit in order to encourage proper adherence to the current limits. There is a small amount of on-line training to do. Please contact Dr Kumar on the email below if you can help.

Thank you to those who attended the AGM last night. It was a good turn-out and thank you to those that helped and brought snacks.
Just to let you know – after taking out subscriptions – we raised £234 of which £135 was entry and £99 was the raffle. After deducting £65 for wine and drinks we will be sending £169 to Julian House which was selected as the association charity for the year 22/23.
The minutes will be posted in the next week.
The Play & Sport area will open on Monday 4 April at 12 noon, ready for the Easter holidays. There are swings and slides, a climbing frame, a ‘Sham Castle’, natural play, basketball, table tennis and a panna football court.
The play area will close for the week of the 6th June for a final surface chipping and painting of the basketball and tennis courts. This work can only be done in warm and dry conditions. The lower tennis courts will open after that. The upper tennis courts are open and fully finished.
The petanque court is finished. You are welcome to play!
The new public loo (20p card reader) & the new Changing Places facility is open.

Due to the discovery of unexpected and severe corrosion during the renovation of the bridge further analysis and repairs are required. Therefore to ensure the safety of users of the bridge and those living near the bridge the current traffic management arrangements will remain in place. Further updates are expected in April. If you follow the link below you will be able to see the objection made by BHRA to this application for planning permission. Normally BHRA do not take a position on planning applications unless the matter is an issue for all residents of the hill. Because of the precedent set by this application we judge it to be an issue for all residents on and around the hill. Please note you will need to move the email out of junk in order to follow the link.
There is until 1st April to register your position as regards this application. You can register your objection or support directly on this website and see other peoples comments. The areas that planning take particular notice of are parking – overuse of a site – change of use impacting the residential nature of the area.
