Cleveland Pools – public consultation

Clevelands Pools Trust will be  displaying their concept design  at a stand in Southgate, Bath, opposite the Apple Store, from 9am – 6pm on Monday 25 and Tuesday 26 April, and then outside GAP in Milsom Street from 9.30am – 4.30pm on Thursday 28 and Friday 29 April 2016.

Members of the Trust and design team will be available to explain the thinking behind the development of the concept design and to answer any questions.

Comments will be used to refine the design for submission of planning and listed building consent applications in July 2016.

To help them collect your views visit the display stands or their web site and complete their short online survey available here soon.

Sydney Gardens Master Plan 2nd June 1:00 -6:00 pm

Next Thursday – 2nd June there is a drop in event at Sydney Gardens for the public to see the proposed master plan which is the basis of the lottery bid.


They also will be sharing their master plan bid at the gardens which will be the start and finish point for Bath Carnival on 16th July.

If you have a spare hour and would like to be a volunteer to help  engage with the passerbys on June 2nd to is a rota,   any time from 1 – 6 pm for a one hour slot.  see web site for more details :,



Application to extend Christmas Market to 25 days.

Bath Tourism Plus are applying to extend the Christmas Market by a week to 25 days, during the next three years. The BHRA committee have concluded we do not have grounds for objections as this does not a great impact on Bathwick Hill.

FoBRA – The Federation of Bath Residents’ Associations is objecting and if any individuals would like to comment the planning application ref. is 16/01310/FUL. The deadline for these to be received is 28th Apr 16.


FAIRFIELD HOUSE OPEN DAY      2 MAY 2016    2pm-6pm

Fairfield House is the former residence of Emperor Haile Selassie of Ethiopia during his exile in the UK from 1936-40. The Open Day provides a chance to discover more about the fascinating history of the house and the Emperor’s life in Bath.

3pm-4pm     First guided tour plus talk by Keith Bowers, author of new book, Imperial Exile
4.30pm-5.30pm  Second guided tour plus talk by Keith Bowers
Light refreshments available, including Ethiopian food and coffee

Easter Egg Hunt March 26th 10:30

The BHRA Easter Egg Hunt  will be at Little Claverton – just above Madiera Walk on Easter Saturday from 10:30 to 12:00

Please come along bring your children, grandchildren, nephews and nieces. The event is free, but there will be a raffle in aid of Next Link Bath who provide domestic violence support in Bath.
