Have your say on improving HMO properties in Bath City

The council is having an important consultation in Bath and North East Somerset. We would appreciate your views and if you have not already done so, to complete the survey. If you have already completed the survey, please ignore this email.
Bath and North East Somerset Council wants to ensure the safety and good management of Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMOs) that are privately rented within the Bath City area.
The Council wants to encourage a choice of housing in the district including affordable housing and ensure minimum legal standards are met.  However the current HMO licensing scheme and a recent stock survey has shown that many HMO properties require an improvement of conditions and management to achieve this.
Therefore, the Council are consulting on a proposal to introduce Additional (HMO) Licensing to certain types of HMO properties across the whole of Bath City.
